This week I completed a major upgrade on the WordPress and ClassiPress software that powers HeartBeat of Kauai. The work ended up taking a day and half—much longer than the four hours I had planned (so what else is new )—but it felt good to support my friend, Richard Diamond, and indirectly, the Kauai, Hawaii community. This 3.0.5.4 version of ClassiPress is a big improvement. In addition to squashing a number of bugs, AppThemes implemented WordPress’ new custom post types feature so classified ads are now separate from blog posts. I feel Richard is doing a great job moderating HeartBeat, which now sports 1,859 members!
